Well, to play the Devil's Advocate here, and totally coming off as a hypocrite consiering my own situation, but it was a quick transition for you guys from engagement to marriage. Maybe he's just trying to catch up with everything in his head.

I would have given him more time, but Riley wants to start the IVF with Evie, and we wanted a twin wedding... I wanted more time too, but this is how I need to do it. We need to do it. He was the one that said we should... I don't know. I just... I don't know.

Kind of sounds like Luke's maybe drawing the short straw in the whole bride, groom, twin wedding consideration stakes. If you need it, he'll do it for you no questions asked, but it's still a lot to absorb in a short time. It's stressful. Even the most placid person can get snappy when they're stressed.

I didn't make him! I asked, and he agreed. I wouldn't have... I mean, I know I can be pushy, but he could have said no. I want him happy, that's all. I didn't mean for him to get the short straw.

I didn't say that you did. I'm just trying to help you see why he might be acting strangely. I'm also saying that it's not necessarily a bad thing if he is acting odd on account of the fact getting married is a huge thing.

Yeah, I guess. Maybe me trying to read so much into it is me acting weird because of the marriage thing. I still can't believe I'm at this point, you know?

Yeah, I do know. Trust me, I know really well. But I also knew really well that I wanted it by the time came. To think about it now, though, I might well have freaked out as a big wedding drew near if we went that route.

I think big weddings have that effect, but this isn't really a big wedding. Pat's just making sure it doesn't look like us in garbage bags with a keg.

I don't like being told I'm sick, but I don't hate doctors. And that's the thing. Pat's been busy. I'm mostly been on my own the last couple of days.

It's still an anticipated wedding and it's a twin wedding. It's a big wedding by default. It doesn't have to be splashy and flashy to be big.

He said he needed help! I was going to help. I think I'm okay. Just tired. Maybe kinda nervous, too. Pat's brother arrives for your wedding in the next few days. We haven't told him yet.

Tab, take it from someone who's learnt the lesson recently. Getting married is one of the biggest things you'll do in your life. Ever.

Yeah, that brother. You know, his twin. The one that has been calling almost every day because he gets the feeling something is wrong with Pat. Pat's sending off the wrong twin voodoo vibes. It's unnverving. Pat wanted to tell him in person.

Yikes... See, Pat could just say "there's something I need to tell you, but it has to be in person"... But I guess that would still set off alarms.

I think we are equal halves... except with the twin thing. But he gets that.

Exactly. And the guy can't exactly just jump in a car and land on our doorstep. He'll probably panic and then Pat will panic and then I'll panic and it will all be one big explosion that somehow needs to end with Pat telling his identical twin that he got married without telling him.

Then just chill. If it feels right, it is right. Just don't begrudge him some weird behaviour. It's just nerves.
