Aiden helped himself to another Diet Coke from behind the bar and finally came around to sit on the bar stool beside Lachlan. The Scot had called Aiden and asked to talk to him about the band, but after getting the initial thoughts out, had sat down at the bar and proceeded to stare solemnly into his untouched orange juice, occasionally stabbing at the ice cubes with the end of the straw. The London was well and truly on the way for opening, so Aiden hadn't been surprised that Lachlan chose that for their meeting place. Aiden had been perfectly fine driving to Princeton for the chat, knowing Pat was in good hands hanging out with his family. The bar wasn't open yet, so Luke had been happy to hand over the keys. Aiden had just expected the kilted one to do more talking about his plans.
He tilted his head, eyes on Lachlan's face. "Remind me again why we're here and not at my place or your place?" he prompted.
( Lachlan blinked and turned to meet Aiden's gaze. He had the decency to look sheepish... )
